Since I have started at professional Carers everyone has been amazing with me. I can’t thank the team enough for the continuous support, I feel like a valued member of staff and the working environment is fantastic. I look forward on carrying on my journey with the company and seeing where it takes me.
Having worked for different care companies, I feel I have finally found a company who do their role because they genuinely care. From start to finish, the recruitment process was made a breeze from professional carers management. I applied using an application form and received a response the next day offering me an interview. When I was offered the job I was given all relevant information on the training and shadowing. I completed my training, which was the best training I have ever received, with Helen who has been in her role a long time and was very informative in regards to the correct procedures. Any questions I needed to ask she was very supportive and always strived to ensure we was comfortable and confident with our next steps. My first day of training was completed with the Julie, the owner of the company, I felt this was amazing as I have never seen this at any other company. Julie is very approachable and is very passionate about her company and her employees. After my training was completed I was put out on 2 shadow shifts with 2 experienced carers and got the chance to watch them complete their role. I have never been offered this chance in previous companies and I found it gained my confidence to go out and complete my role to the best of my potential. After my shadowing I received a phone call from management to make sure I was ready for my role and to see if I felt I needed any more shadowing. I may be new to professional carers but already- I have never felt so valued and respected. If you are a carer or someone looking to start in care, looking to work for a company who do their job, because like you, they genuinely care- this is the best place for you. From the management team, to the office team, to the carers in the community everyone I have met has been amazing and approachable. I am so excited to start my role fully at professional carers and see what the future brings.
As a company as a whole I am beyond impressed with the process from start to where I am now. I may only just have started my journey with Professional Carers but from day one i have felt part of the team, I feel valued for the role I am doing and the first class training you receive the day you step foot in the training room to going out on shadowing shifts. This is a journey I look forward to take. I have never worked as part of a team where everyone is valued and the support you have from picking up the phone and asking for a job to supporting you and going above and beyond to help you settle in I couldn’t of asked for more. I have been working at professional carers for the past 2 months and during thst time everyone i have worked with have been lovely. If i need to ring up during my round I know that someone will help me out with advice. Before joining Professional Carers I had worked in the Civil Service as an administrator and at a school and realised that I wanted to do something different - I applied for a position as a carer and no day is the same - i have some lovely clients and some who are more challenging and some good moments - I would say that if you have never been a carer have a go you may surprise yourself. The interview was done on teams and took about 20 minutes and 2 days later I was informed that I had been successful and once you got through the interview a 3 day induction and e learning was completed whilst your dbs and references obtained..
